Student Led Conferences

On Wednesday Te Ngahere had Student Led Conferences. My conference was at 1.15pm. First, Mrs Pou gave my family my report.  I am above in Maths, above in Reading and At in writing. After that I showed my Mum and Dad some of my work. I thought Student Led Conferences was better than Parent Interviews.

Waitangi Celebration

On Tuesday Paihia School walked to Waitangi for Matariki. We made manu aute, we planted plants and we also played games. My favorite game was the blindfold game. Alexis and I were competing against each other. We had to be blindfolded with a shell, you have to shake the shell for the other player can hear you then they can try and tag you. Alexis tagged me first then straight after that I tagged her.  Waitangi was so Fun.

Fidget Spinner

A few weeks ago Te Ngahere and Te Maunga made fidget spinner art. We were learning to use all of the space as we could, on the A3 piece of paper. We also had to use crayon and dye to do our fidget spinners. We also did a fidget spinner story, my goal was to use the correct structure.

Here is my story!!!

I am talking to you today because I think that fidget spinners should not be allowed in the classroom or even at school.

Firstly, they can distract you in class and they can affect other people in their learning, then teachers will take the fidget spinner off you and then you might not get it back, our teachers say that they will give it to their nephews.

Secondly, somebody else might want a go with your fidget spinner and then they might break your fidget spinner then you might get upset.

Thirdly, if you are playing with a fidget spinner then you put it in your bag somebody might get your fidget spinner and then they might keep it.

For all these reasons I think that kids should be not allowed fidget spinners at Paihia School or in the classroom.
